There are many projects activly being developed currently. If the project has released a "stable" version of its program, you will find it below. For more information, please see the individual projects pages.

The current version of the dxr2-driver is 1.0.4

• You'll need a recent linux kernel (the driver has been tested with most kernels, but getting a 2.4.x series kernel is highly recommended. You can download the newest kernels from http://www.kernel.org or from your distribution Vendor.
• The DVD12.UX firmware file, which is available from http://dxr2.sourceforge.net/projects/dxr2-driver/firmware/DVD12.UX
• The hacked version of libdvdread, which is available from http://dxr2.sourceforge.net/projects/dxr2-driver/libdvdread/libdvdread-0.9.2_hack_2.tar.gz

• You'll need the CSS IOCTL patches available from http://www.kernel.dk
• You'll need the UDF filing system patches, available from http://www.csc.calpoly.edu/~bfennema/udf.html

The current version of the dxr2install script is 0.4

The Dxr2 plugin for the Xine Media Player is still in early development, but there is a working version. To test out the plugin, you will need to download the pre-built version of the Xine media player below.

Again, please be aware that the plugin is in early development, and may or may not work. If you have a version of Xine already installed, you will need to uninstall it before continuing. Any questions can be directed to Raphael Zulli ,the plugin's maintainer.

Whenever pssible you should be using CVS, and you should always report feedback to the developers. If its not possible for you to use CVS, you can download the nightly tarball from http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cvstarballs/dxr2-cvsroot.tar.gz Please see the CVS section above for information about CVS, and the nightly tarball before you download/use either.

We also have an archive of patches for the dxr2-driver that are submitted by various users. The patches the are used in the main driver source, can be found in the CVS repository, under the dxr2-driver module, in the directory "source_patches". We try and archive ALL patches submitted to the mailing list, etc. on the website as well. This patch archive can be found by going to http://dxr2.sourceforge.net/projects/dxr2-driver/patches/.
NOTE: This archive is not being maintained and there is no longer anything in the source_patches of the dxr2-driver's CVS tree.
